Carly Rae Jepsen, born in Mission British Columbia Canada on 21 November 1985. At the time that Carly Rae graduated from high school she was already performing in talent shows in her community. Then, in Victoria, British Columbia she studied at the Canadian College of Performing Arts. The audition was held in 2007 for the fifth season of Canadian Idol and reached the top 3. The singer released her debut Tug of War album in 2008 after the show. It was an enormous success and peaked at number 6 in the Canadian Albums charts. The year 2012 was the time she dropped her second album Kiss that produced the huge hit Call Me Maybe. It was an international chart-topper, reaching the top of charts in more than 18 nations. More than 15 million albums were sold. She has since released three albums, received numerous awards and been nominated twice for Grammys.
